Sher-Mae Cheng

Hi! I am Sher-Mae and running to be your next Secretary :)

Moving to London was quite daunting at first, but having the SingSoc community here really helped with settling in and making this new place feel like home. I am so grateful to everyone here and love the wholesome community we’ve built. This drives my motivation, to give back to all of you that have made the past few months an amazing experience. I want to support our community, helping out with all the backend work that makes events possible.

With my experience in council, admin, and logistics, I am able to coordinate events effectively and facilitate all the behind-the-scenes preparation for you to have a better time in SingSoc. My detailed nature will ensure all our documents are well-organised, allowing the EXCO to have a smoother workflow (and you to have better events!). I also love collaborating with others, which complements the role of Secretary, as I will be able to support the entire EXCO, as well as liaise and forge a good working relationship with the Student Union. I truly look forward to working with the whole EXCO, as well as all SingSoc members, for various events. Moreover, I manage my time well, hence will be able to balance the workload while ensuring quality standards.

I hope to take SingSoc to greater heights, and will be wholeheartedly committed and dedicated to serving all of you as Secretary. Thank you!
