Kaede Ishikawa

Hii! I’m Kaede Ishikawa, a first-year studying biology, and I’m running for the position of secretary of Japan Society.

Japan Society has been a huge part of my first year, giving me the chance to meet some of my closest friends at uni and take part in many memorable socials. This is why I’d love to join the committee next year and help more students have similar experiences.

I love connecting with people and organizing events that everyone looks forward to and enjoys. As a secretary, I am confident that I can ensure smooth communication within the committee and with other societies, so that we collaborate effectively and deliver well-organised events for all members.

Having been part of the sub-committee this year, I’ve had the opportunity to see the inner workings of Japan Society up close and help with some of the tasks. I’ve seen how much effort the current committee puts in, and I hope to build on their hard work to continue supporting and improving the society.
