Hi everyone, for those of you who don’t know me I am Theo, one of the 2nd years at the boat club who, like everyone here, is very excited for the future of rowing at Imperial. The boat club secretary is the metaphorical glue that holds the committee and club together, the foundation upon which this mighty program stands, and as Kelvin’s tenure draws to a close, I believe that I would be an excellent candidate to take up the mantle.
As secretary I will ensure the smooth running of the committee. With a keen eye for detail, my records from meetings and correspondence with third parties will be clear and organised so that other committee members can focus on their roles without distraction. I am always fast to respond to messages and quick to address any issues, something widely praised along with my organizational skills and ease to work with in my 2 perfect peer reviews from project work this year. Most importantly, however, I have always aimed to communicate with people across the club during my time at ICBC to understand their goals and concerns. I will always be open to talk to and I will ensure that your issues, no matter how big or small, are addressed in committee meetings. If you want a secretary with a genuine commitment to every member of this club, then I hope to have your support!
