Chess: Treasurer

This year I've had the pleasure of being Chess president. In that time, with the help of my committee, I believe we've changed the club for the better; continuing club activities as well as getting a logo for the club as well as a giant rook as the mascot. Additionally, I've sourced £900 worth of funding for the club for new equipment and a digital board to spectate top tournament games as they happen from the comfort of anywhere (with an internet connection). If I become treasurer this year, I will:

Create a system of loaning out chess boards to anyone who needs one
Change the constitution of the club to cover more events which we already run (but don't get funding for)
Make sure the freshers fair tournament gets funding and can afford actual tournament mangement software.

As the current treasurer of the RCC management group, I know what union needs to hear in order to get risk assessments, grants and more importantly events approved. So if you've enjoyed our current events and want more, (and perhaps a few socials) vote for me!
