Hello Sailors! After such a banging year in the club, I would love to rejoin next year as the club’s treasurer. To keep the club financially afloat (haha), the funds must be managed carefully to promote a fun and healthy environment for all current and future sailors. As treasurer, my priorities would be to:

Make sailing more accessible:

• Budget to allow for more social sailing events, to increase visibility of the club and attract members
• Alongside the social secs, a part of the budget will be dedicated to running more social events to promote good vibes within the club

Strengthen Financial Structure & Sustainability:

• Establish a defined emergency reserve to cover unexpected transport, repair, or various surprises
• Develop a detailed full-term budget projection from the beginning to define the financial framework
• Implement clear payment structures and deadlines for memberships and events
• Create a publicly available document including key deadlines, approximate costs, and any breakdown of price decisions upon request

Implement Union & Income Strategy:

• Actively leverage club success and growth to secure stronger Union funding
• With the help of the Sponsorships & Alumni officer, secure additional funding to diversify income streams
