Hey everyone, I'm Cormac and I'd love to be Gazette's next Treasurer!

Serving as Clubs and Societies Editor in the last 7 months has been one of the most rewarding parts of my time at ICSM. Through this, I’ve gained a well-rounded understanding of the diverse CSPs within ICSM and the unique challenges and achievements that define each of them. Working closely with ICSM societies has given me insight not only into how Gazette represents student life, but also into how we can better support it.

Having already been part of the Gazette committee, I understand how our team operates and the responsibility we hold. I’m now eager to take on greater leadership as Treasurer, contributing in a new capacity while building on the experience I’ve gained this year. My familiarity with eActivities through other committee roles means I am confident navigating this maze we rely on, and I see learning the financial side of Gazette and eActivities as a natural progression.

I am particularly interested in maintaining our strong relationship with SMHA. As C+S Editor, I’ve seen first-hand how their funding supports numerous CSPs, and as Treasurer I would work to ensure transparency, efficiency, and strong communication in how we manage and allocate our own finances so that SMHA have a clear image of our work.

Beyond the traditional responsibilities of Treasurer, I want to expand the role by supporting editors, using my previous experience, to ensure continuity between committees and promote smooth handovers.
