William Robinson
Who do you want to be in charge of Physoc’s finances, from flagship QUIRK+ conferences to low-key socials? This is a big responsibility necessitating a lot of leadership experience - maybe it would be even better if they served as social secretary of Imperial’s prestigious symphony orchestra last year, then went out of their way to serve as outreach secretary for Imperial Marrow during their year abroad at EPFL this year? You would also want this individual to be very personable and transparent - maybe even very well-known across the department, but who knows? It would certainly instil confidence in you if they boasted an unofficial list of endorsements reading like a “who’s who” of Physoc and beyond, drawing from their seemingly limitless connections. I mentioned a year abroad at EPFL before - it would also be brilliant if this individual had managed to hard-code Swiss efficiency and pragmatism into their DNA, in addition to going above and beyond the level written communication to thrive on the committee by being at ease communicating their ideas in French, in addition to their native English. I also believe this individual should leverage their connections they acquired by doing their MSci project at CERN in order to propose a study trip there, as well as setting aside resources for more family events throughout the year to better integrate first years.
Who could provide all this in a no-nonsense fashion while maintaining unmatched approachability? The one and only Will Robinson - where there’s a Will, there’s a way.
