Hi everyone !

My name is Fatma and I am a second year chemistry student running for the role of Junior Treasurer. My theatre journey started with Heathers at Richmond Theatre, and to this day, nothing has topped Hamilton for me!

There’s something surreal about live theatre — for a few hours, you’re fully immersed in a different world, completely disconnected from deadlines and reality. It’s the perfect rainy London day activity and the ultimate mood booster, providing a space to make memories with friends somewhere other than the library :D And doing all of that without breaking the bank would be the cherry on top.

My priorities as Treasurer will be:

• Fairer Access: I know how frustrating it is when tickets vanish in nanoseconds. I’ll work on a more balanced release schedule—potentially spreading tickets across both terms—to ensure more people get a fair shot at the shows they love.

• Diverse Programs: With a society this big, our funds should cover a range of tastes. I want to balance the "big" West End hits with unique shows like My Neighbour Totoro and high-quality UK touring productions like Legally Blonde.

• Transparency & Value: I’ll focus on optimizing our budget to find the right balance between low ticket prices and high ticket volume, so we aren't selling out in nanoseconds.
