Hi! I’m Anyu, a first-year Economics, Finance & Data Science student, and I’m running to be your Junior Treasurer! 👋

ArtSoc has been the greatest highlight of my uni life. It’s where I’ve met amazing people and discovered new shows — and between ArtSoc trips and carefully budgeting my way, I’ve booked 20+ productions so far without completely destroying my bank account. And I’d love the chance to give back!

Treasurer plays a huge role in keeping our tickets affordable, and here’s why I think I’d be a good fit:

• Financial foundations

Through my degree & finance internships, I’m comfortable handling paperwork and accountability (the boring but important side!).

• Budgeting & negotiation experience

As president of two large school clubs & founder of a scholarship programme, I’m confident with my ability in budgeting and communicating for more funds.

If elected, I’ll focus on:

• More tickets at better prices

With demand so high this year, I’ll work to keep our funds sustainable and negotiate effectively with the Union!

• Helping members save beyond ArtSoc bookings

Providing free theatre memberships for priority booking to popular shows, and putting together a clear guide on ways to find cheaper seats (lotteries, rush tickets, student discounts, etc).

ArtSoc has given me so much joy this year, and I’d love the opportunity to support all of you next year — I hope I can count on your vote!
