Georgie Kelly

Hi guys, my name is Georgie and I am running to be your treasurer for the next year. I’ve been a member of dance company since starting at Imperial and I've enjoyed taking part in classes, socials, and competitions. From my role as social sec, and from roles in other societies, I already understand how claims work and how the union shop admin works.

As treasurer, I will aim to approve claims quickly so that no one is out of pocket, and I will ensure that information about competition fees is shared as early on as possible so people can budget and plan accordingly. I will make sure that our finances are well managed and costs are subsidised as much as possible :)

I will make sure the class prices are fair and affordable. I know fees not being paid in Spring is partly because there simply aren’t as many classes in Spring, so I will try take this into account when creating the shop products so that more people are inclined to pay for the classes which do run.

I will be proactive with applying to funding both internally from the union and externally through sponsorships to ensure that dance company is affordable for everyone. I am organised, committed, and confident in my budgeting skills so I am sure that as your treasurer I will keep dance company financially secure :)
