Yuchen Ma

Hello everyone! My name is Yuchen Ma, and I am honoured to stand as a candidate for Treasurer of the Imperial Chinese Students and Scholars Association (IC CSSA) in the 2026 Leadership Elections.

IC CSSA is a home and support network for Chinese students at Imperial. A strong organisation requires responsible financial management. I am running for Treasurer to ensure our budget effectively supports and empowers members.

My vision has three pillars. First, ensuring financial transparency. I will implement clear budgeting processes and provide regular updates, ensuring everyone understands how funds support our activities.

Second, I am committed to maximising value. I will optimise event spending and negotiate with vendors to stretch our budget. This allows more frequent social gatherings, cultural celebrations, and mentorship opportunities.

Finally, I will expand our funding sources. By strengthening relationships with sponsors, alumni, and the Union, I will secure additional support for IC CSSA. This will enhance our career programmes, including networking events and workshops across technology, finance, and research.
