Vanessa Madu
Choir: Librarian
Hi! I'm Vanessa, and I'd like to be the choir's next (internal) librarian!
When I am not singing, I spend half of my time as a third-year PhD student in Mathematics and the other half as a Guest Teacher at LSE.
Claim: My life experience thus far would make me a great choir librarian.
Proof:
- PhDing requires keeping track of literature. My meticulous tracking of my documents has convinced many a colleague to start using reference management software. Thus, I have the applied and demonstrated skill of keeping track of documents, a skill one needs in order to know the precise whereabouts of choir music when a panicked email asks for it.
- I really like sorting things. I'm good at sorting things. Librarians sort things. I should be a librarian.
- I really enjoy being in the choir and would like to contribute to the running of it next year. Enjoying something tends to make you better at it.
Therefore, I would make a great choir librarian!
