The rules aren't rules. They're just decisions nobody revisited.
I have seen what makes DoCSoc thrive and where it can do more for you. Here's the plan.
We have our best years carved out for us. I want to make sure we feel it.
- Go-big. Bungee jumping off Queen's Tower, or hot air balloons over the countryside; its all on the cards.
- Go-global. Ever wanted to see the pyramids up close, or just escape the monotony? You will be able to vote for your next offsite destination.
- More socials. We all know things get busy fast. Expect more frequent socials, tailored to blow off steam.
- Better merch. There will be more comfortable, branded merch that will make you runway-ready. Some say this may boost happiness by 10x.
I care about making your daily experience the best: more drinks and food, warm breakfasts, many more tickets, and a wider range of events, including cultural-celebrations.
- Doors open. Exclusive hiring pipelines, alumni networks, ask a previous intern@⟨x⟩, dinners with founders... DoCSoc will be with you every step of the way; undergrads and postgrads alike.
- No formalities. Introducing "OffTheRecord”, skip the powerpoints and awkwardness, have real conversations and drinks with the technical staff. Free tokens and pizza as always.
- Big speakers. And, for those who want 3Blue1Brown, or an author of "Attention Is All You Need" to come talk to us, it'll happen.
Of course, for anything else, I will be all ears.
Thank you for your time, and come say hi in labs.
