Saim Khan

Hi everyone! I'm Saim, your current DoCSoc Communications Officer (you may recognise my name from the Weekly Digest emails!)

This past year as Comms, I delivered a full revamp of our Weekly Digest, but more importantly being in my role has given me a unique, behind-the-scenes view of the entire society – from coordinating with our events and academic teams, to jumping in on sponsor calls and organising and ordering merch, I’ve worked with every facet of DoCSoc and understand exactly how it all comes together – and I've loved every bit of it. Now, I'd love to bring all that experience to the role of President next year.

Beyond that, I've been actively involved with Imperial College Union – recently attending the AGM, Council, and Activities Forums – so I'm well-versed in the official processes and people we work with to get things done for you. I was also Logistics Team Lead for IC Hack this year; for those of you who were there, you'll know things didn't always quite go as planned! So, often with very little notice (and even less sleep!) I had to make quick decisions under pressure, to keep everything running smoothly.

My priorities? More events, more food (yes, really), more cross-collaboration with other societies, and above all, more of your voice shaping what DoCSoc does.
