Atharva Kotwal

Hello everyone! My name is Atharva and I'm a third-year medical student running for the position of Club Captain. Having been a part of the club for almost 3 years, I can confidently say my time with ICSM tennis has been one of the most rewarding and enjoyable aspects of university life. I’ve had the privilege of serving as a committee member twice which has given me the opportunity to give back to the club and equipped me with skills which will be useful in the role of CC.

Past experience:

In my role as Kit officer, I worked hard to design the bespoke merch, ensuring we produced stash that our members felt proud to wear. I also worked to ensure a continued relationship with Nike, enabling us to refresh our seasonal match kit so we can continue to intimidate our opponents on court. As Secretary, I’ve had the pleasure of working with the exec committee to support the smooth running of the club. I’ve enjoyed contributing to the planning of tour, events throughout the year and the organisation of Social tennis sessions.

Aims for next year:

Prepare a tennis calendar in advance outlining key dates of matches, events, socials etc

Collaborate with the captains to introduce more variation and focus to training sessions to drive improvement.

Have more first team matches
