Michael Porat

Hi! My name is Michael. You may have seen me around the library, hosting events like PowerPoint night, or generally just being a lil gremlin. Next year, I plan to be a big gremlin by becoming the chair of the society! I have many plans on how to better run the society, including planning and organising advance far further in advance, scheduling things more regularly, holding regular committee meetings, and allowing our members to have a greater impact on what we do as a society.

I plan to learn from the mistakes we have made as a committee this year to ensure sci fi and fantasy society is as welcoming and enjoyable a place as can be. I also live in London, so am able to check up on the library over the break and hopefully prevent any leak incidents before they occur!
