Max Borowiec

Hi, my name is Max and I am one of many Polish Brits living in London. Polish culture has blossomed in the UK as a result of a wonderful community of Poles keeping our language, culture and sense of community alive abroad for decades.

I plan to carry this torch and bring the sense of community back into Polsoc by introducing opportunites to socialise, network and celebrate Polish culture with students from all over London. This means organising social events, cultural festivities and more.

Secondly, Poland is steadily becoming a major player in science and technology. To benefit from, and contribute to this, I would love to connect with Polish institutions and companies to open doors for students to gain research/industry experience. This could be a great way for many people to get a foothold on the career ladder during their time at Imperial.

Overall, I want to make Polsoc and active community that benefits its members and celebrates our culture and heritage.
