hello mt! I'm running to be your vice president next year!

This society has given me space to develop so many different skills, whether it be in social seccing, performing, conducting or in mding. I've had the best time this year as your social sec - highlights include Cabarets, dance workshops, running games nights and the Murder Mystery I've helped write (coming so so soon!!). I definitely lean more to the music side of MT, I have connections to band people in big band, wind band, icsm jazz and more. I'd really love for band to be more integrated within the MT sphere beyond just playing for our shows.

As VP, I would like to organise more workshops, not just in summer term but potentially also throughout the year. Think Dramweek but MT-specific. I've enjoyed the writing workshops, and I'd like to organise MD/music-related workshops, either run by myself/other members in the society or by alumni. As for VVE, I've written many a RA/EP and i've been (semi-forced) to get myself together and do things in advance - I can keep to schedules and herd people around, no problem.

This year on committee has also allowed me time to reflect on what makes a good team - providing space for everyone to feel comfortable, being supportive, keeping each other accountable and being open-minded. These are things I'd like to keep going moving into the new year.
