Aarav Chheda

Hi everyone,

I'm Aarav, a first-year running to be your next Vice President of MathSoc. I want MathSoc to consistently deliver engaging events and opportunities for students to engage with maths beyond their degree and develop meaningful skills, knowledge and connections to support their career aspirations. Most importantly, I want MathSoc to be fun. Here's what I intend to deliver:

• Lots of social events (with plenty of free food) whether that be poker tournaments, pub crawls, bowling, inter-departmental sports tournaments and so on, including collabs with other societies
• Even more intra-department, inter-department and inter-uni challenges and competitions for members to sharpen their skills and win worthwhile prizes
• A multitude of career-related opportunities for a wide range of career paths - from research to quant finance and tech - including networking events and challenges with our sponsors, talks from alumni, internship-related sessions, and sessions that teach core concepts and skills needed to succesfully break into competitive roles in these fields
• Whatever else you want to see - I'm quick to respond and always open to feedback and ideas, and I want MathSoc to provide what all of you actually want from it
