Business School (UG): Departmental Academic Representative

Hi everyone! I’m Szymon Kwidziński, a second-year student studying Economics, Finance and Data Science, and I’m running to be your Business School (UG) Department Academic Representative.

I want this role to be straightforward: make it easy for you to be heard, and make sure things actually improve.

What I’ll focus on:

1) Clear communication between students and the department

I’ll make sure feedback is passed on clearly, and I’ll share updates so you know what’s happening — not just that it’s “been raised”.

2) Fairness and clarity in assessments

I’ll push for clearer expectations, clearer marking guidance, and a more consistent experience across modules.

3) Better everyday academic experience

If something isn’t working — unclear instructions, confusing course organisation, or recurring issues — I’ll flag it, follow it up, and keep you updated.

4) A student voice that includes everyone

Not everyone has time to attend meetings or speak up in class. I’ll use quick check-ins and open channels so more people can contribute.
