Hey guys!
I'm Brandon and I'm running to be one of your working class network members for this coming year!
Being working class in uni can definitely be a daunting experience, coming to a place where over 30% of people come from private schools; where so many people seem to have family connections we could only dream of, and where managing finances on your own can feel so overwhelming.
That's why I want to help foster a stronger community for working class students, where we can feel heard and comfortable. I would love to see more social, networking and careers events to provide opportunities that we may struggle with at times. I also want to build stronger connections with the other liberation networks, as intersectionality is often so important for understanding eachothers unique struggles.
I would consider myself to be a social and welcoming person, so if I was voted in, I would always be happy to chat and listen to any concerns you might have (or about anything youd want to, really!)
