Or Merzer
Hi, I’m Or.
Many of you have seen me in lessons, a few of you even talked with me before. In running for academic chair, I hope to talk with more fellow students. I’ll bring about hopefully positive change to the faculty of medicine based on your feedback.
Now, reasons you should vote me:
- I aim to attend every lesson; I have never missed an in-person face-to-face, albeit have been late a couple of times. Feel free to approach me before/after any session, or just around campus.
- I am straightforward and hard-headed, so I will advocate for your opinions strongly in student-staff-liaison-group meetings.
- As chair, I will listen to both students and teaching faculty to understand the FoM courses and improve them.
- My name is short and easy to remember, which is always a positive.
Here, the guidelines suggest adding key policies and an action plan. The problem there, is that the feedback received, as well as any actionable policies, are versatile and variable year-on-year. As such, I will:
- Adapt to the academic needs of the FoM;
- Ask for advice from those who can help.
In this way, any complaint or compliment the courses receive can be worked on or accentuated, as per circumstance. Of course, I shall seek help when possible, so that the department will see efficient improvements; I cannot claim to think of every solution the FoM necessitates. If a candidate claims they can do so, at least vote me as your second choice, please.
