City & Guilds Union has one of the most powerful alumni networks at Imperial. The depth of experience, industry reach, and institutional memory within CGCA is an extraordinary asset : and one that can be brought even closer to current students.
As Treasurer of CGCU, overseeing funding and coordination across 40+ societies, I operate at the structural level of the Union. I understand how initiatives scale, how communication flows across departments, and how engagement must be designed to last. Alongside this, as Industrial Liaison Officer for AeroSoc, I have built external partnerships and worked directly with industry stakeholders, strengthening my ability to manage professional networks with clarity and purpose.
As Alumni Officer, I will work closely with CGCA to deepen structured engagement through:
-
A formalised mentorship framework connecting students and alumni by sector and pathway.
-
Regular, accessible networking conversations, both formal and informal, that encourage genuine interaction.
-
A quarterly CGCU Alumni Impact Digest, highlighting alumni journeys, opportunities, and continued involvement.
-
Clear engagement tracking to ensure continuity and growth year-on-year.
The goal is simple: ensure that CGCU alumni are not distant figures, but active participants in the student journey.
By combining operational structure with collaborative intent, we can strengthen the alumni-student bridge and unlock even greater value for the City & Guilds community.
I would be proud to contribute to that mission.
