Sijin Wu
Hi everyone! I'm Sijin Wu, a biomedical engineering student, and I'm running to be your Clubs and Societies Chair.
Here's the thing – some of my best uni memories haven't been in lecture halls. They've been at society events, meeting people who share my interests, and trying things I never thought I'd do. That's what clubs and societies are all about, and I want to make sure everyone gets to experience that.
What I'll Do for You
Get You Better Funding – Let's be real, budget constraints shouldn't stop great ideas. I'll fight for increased event subsidies and set up fundraising initiatives so every society, big or small, has the resources to put on amazing events. We shouldn't let the budget stop us from having great activities.
Bring Societies Together – Imagine joint socials between different departmental societies – cheaper tickets, bigger crowds, and way more fun. I'll help make these collaborations happen so we can connect across disciplines and create events we'll actually remember.
Cut Through the Red Tape – Nobody enjoys dealing with budgeting forms and admin paperwork. I'll try to make these processes straightforward and actually manageable, so you can spend less time on bureaucracy and more time doing what you love.
Actually Listen to You – I'll create proper channels for feedback and make sure your voices reach CGCU and Imperial College Union. Not just token listening, we value the real action on what you care about.
Please vote for Sijin Wu, I'm here to support.
