Isabela Ventorim

Hi everyone! I'm Isabela, your second year wellbeing representative this year. I've loved advocating for our cohort this year, and I would love to extend my impact to the whole department as the Departmental Wellbeing Rep!

This year I've worked alongside the year reps, dep reps and staff to collect and address student feedback regarding lectures, labs and coursework, as well as support wellbeing events such as ChemEng & Coffee, the Christmas craft + games session, Newitt lecture and more. This experience has equipped me with skills and knowledge I would use, and of course continue to build on, as the departmental representative to ensure a smooth and successful year!

My main goals as departmental wellbeing rep would be to:

1) Facilitate honest communication between students and staff to enable efficient and effective change.

2) Run wellbeing events that help students relax and connect with each other.

3) Promote an inclusive environment with a positive culture.
