Earth Science & Engineering (UG): Departmental Wellbeing Representative

Hey, I’m Emily! I’ve been the current Y1 Wellbeing Rep for the ESE. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being able to learn more about how the department is run and being able to help maintain the bridge between students and staff. I believe that throughout our time at Imperial, we should be there to support one another, to celebrate the highs and provide comfort in the lows, and I hope to encourage this network to grow and flourish, supporting the intrinsic beliefs of the RSM. I’m enthusiastic in finding the person behind the student and reminding people how their self-worth is found in their laughter, their hobbies and their passions as well as in the Geosciences.

I hope to be able to improve communication by encouraging dynamic feedback, and ensuring results are conveyed to the student body. I will nurture an environment where all representatives are integrated and freely communicate between one another and the department. Wellbeing is an integral part of the department and is important to be sustained by each individual for academic success. I hope to encourage the welcoming nature of the RSM to grow and help maintain a strong sense of belonging throughout the years within our community.

Have a gneiss day!!
