I'm Naz, the 2nd year academic rep hoping to keep the momentum of positive change going as Academic Officer!
I have succeeded in improving our modules (eg. editing F2F content for GEN and LP2) this year. Now I'm ready to make it even easier for everyone to improve and succeed.
.....but what does that actually mean?
- More accessible feedback: Presenting faculty meeting results at townhall lets students see how their feedback improves BMB in real time. I will make giving feedback more accessible by implementing a suggestion box at the end of term after the survey closes and having more chances to voice opinions to reps and faculty.
- Support year reps: Year reps do loads of work behind the scenes on top of their degree. I will support them by organizing sessions for all reps to exchange ideas and advise them in doing the best work they can in representing their cohorts.
- Collaborate with BMBsoc: BMBsoc is a great help for students, and I will work with them to make guides for modules that can help students beyond exams/ICAs.
- Advocate for BMB: As a rep, I have built rapport with faculty and understood BMB's role in the ICSMU better. I will use these experiences to represent our needs and accomplishments.
BMB is home to some of the most dedicated, invested and hardworking members of student and staff. It's only natural that we should work towards having the best student academic network.
