CGCU: Media and Marketing Officer
I want to make the CGCU community stronger through media and marketing. I would aim to:
- Highlight cool projects across departments through a monthly “Project Showcase.” This helps highlights engineering excellence at Imperial for students and sponsors alike, which helps students
- More interactive media like an Engineering Podcast or video series to engage the wide range of CGCU members in common activities and create more inter-departmental awareness
- Improved careers outreach with targeted marketing towards interdisciplinary engineering sectors to attract sponsors using the combined strength of the CGCU that extends beyond departments
- Coordinate communications with departments to extend the reach of CGCU events like formal dinners or alumni discussions, allowing more members to benefit from the wealth of experience in the community
- Expand online presence across various platforms like LinkedIn and Instagram to extend CGCU communication beyond emails and make it easier for students to keep up with the wide range of events that CGCU has to offer
- Design more creative media through custom faculty-themed graphics to create a sense of shared community and a greater variety of content in communications to make media more exciting.
