RCSU: RAG Officer

Hi everyone,

I'm Tracy, a first-year Biochemistry student running for RAG Officer. I'm applying for this role because I believe in bringing people together to make a real difference in our communities and I believe fundraising should be just as rewarding as the impact it has.

Throughout high school and sixth form, I led the Charity Committee, coordinating and organising a wide range of fundraising events. From planning logistics and managing teams to promoting events, I learnt how much thought goes into making events not just successful but inclusive and enjoyable for everyone.

If elected I will:

Run engaging, creative events that students genuinely look forward to, supporting charities chosen by students.
Strengthen collaborations with RAG, other societies, departments and charities to maximise participation and impact.
Focus on strong organisation and communication - so fundraisers go smoothly and everyone understands the impact RCSU and RAG are having.
Increase involvement - creating flexible opportunities for students to contribute or volunteer in ways that suit them.

For me, this role is not just about raising money, it is about building a stronger, more connected RCSU and RAG community while supporting causes that matter to us.
