Ziyi Liu

Hi everyone! I’m Ziyi Liu, and I’m running to be your next Events Officer!

Over the past two years, CGCU events have genuinely shaped my Imperial experience. I met a lot of incredible people and truly feel at home within the Engineering community. I’m incredibly grateful for that — and now, I want to be part of the team that creates those moments for others.

I bring extensive experience in planning and delivering large-scale events. I served as a events planning lead in my high school’s student union, managing school fairs and arts festivals. I’m currently the General Manager of Imperial Baseball Club, where I coordinate operations, logistics, and team communication. Through hands-on experience in organising large-scale events, I understand what it takes to turn ideas into successful events.

Beyond planning, I’m confident on both the creative and technical sides — and I enjoy working with people, and I believe the best events are those where everyone feels included, excited, and proud to be part of our community.

If elected, I work closely with my colleagues to preserve CGCU’s favourite traditions while introducing fresh, student-driven ideas that reflect what we truly enjoy. Let’s make next year’s events even bigger, more vibrant, and unforgettable together!
