CGCU: Web Editor

Hi everyone, I’m Chloe Liu, and I’m excited to run for CGCU Web Editor.

I have been part of the CGCU committee for the past two years, currently serving as an Event Officer. During this time, I’ve been actively involved in organising and supporting a range of events within the Chinese student community.

Alongside CGCU, I also serve as the Head of Sports Department at CSSA, where I organised three London inter-university tennis tournaments, helping connect Chinese students across different universities through sports.

I was also involved in organising the Imperial College Chinese New Year Gala 2026 (Year of the Horse) and the Imperial College Freshers Meet-up, helping create welcoming spaces for both new and returning students.

Through these experiences, I’ve seen how important clear communication and strong online platforms are for bringing the community together.

If elected as Web Officer, I hope to:

Keep CGCU’s website updated and accessible, making it easier for students to find events and useful information
Showcase CGCU’s activities and achievements, so more people can see and join what we do
Improve how we communicate online, ensuring information reaches students quickly and clearly

Having spent two years on the CGCU committee, I understand the organisation and the community well, and I’m excited to continue contributing in a new way.
