Hey everyone, I'm Naimat, and I'm running to be your academic rep for the upcoming year.

Each week, keeping up with things like lectures, problem sheets, and lab work can get quite hectic, especially if you're trying to balance it all with actual hobbies and interests that maybe go beyond sitting down and solving Poisson's equation in spherical polars. I'm running for academic rep because I would like to play a role in ensuring coursework remains manageable and as stress-free as possible (though doing a physics degree might mean this stress is non-zero). I think this year especially has shown us how important it is for our voices to be heard when it comes to academics, such as providing feedback to lecturers on pacing, content coverage, or the overall running of a module. As your academic rep, I will do my best to make sure there is smooth communication between the student body and the department, so that your concerns can be voiced and you receive any updates/changes about the course. You can feel free to reach out to me via whatsapp/email regarding anything you would like to say, and we can address it together. Everyone has their own perspectives, and I think its important that you all feel represented.
