Hey guys! I’m Kalista and I’m running to be your ICSMSU Social Sec 🕺
ICSM has been my family for the past four years, and that’s entirely down to the community- from final years to freshers. I excited to host events for YOU and create spaces to meet people you might never otherwise cross paths with. With new freshers and intercalating fourth years joining each year, I’d love to organise more year-wide events (alongside the BSc Academic Officer) to help everyone feel part of ICSM from day one.
I have had my fair share of planning events from smaller socials to ICSM-wide Arts Dinner, so I’m confident navigating Union processes and the logistics of running large events (and handling the unexpected). My experience allows me to support my Ents Chair, especially through the chaos of Freshers’ Fortnight.
Ideas for next year:
- Liase with ICU to avoid large event clashes during Freshers’
- Collabs with C&S stream/ social secs for socials
- Watch parties (movies/ series/ sports… F1??)
- Fresher Blammo/Assassin during Freshers’ Fortnight!!
- Dancing with the Stars: ICSM/ Reynolds line dancing
