Hi everyone☺️

I’m Aminata, and I’m so happy to be part of this MPH journey with you all. I created our WhatsApp group because I believe in connection and community, and I’d love to continue that spirit as your Student Rep.

Coming from Senegal with a background in medicine and public health research, I’ve seen how important it is for every voice to be heard. English is my third language, so I truly understand what it means to adapt, to listen carefully, and to make sure communication is clear and inclusive.

If elected, I’ll focus on:

• Listening and representing – making sure our concerns, ideas, and feedback reach faculty and are acted on.

• Community and support – encouraging study groups, sharing opportunities, and making sure no one feels isolated (winter is coming 🌚).

• Wellbeing and inclusion – supporting each other through the challenges of the year, and making sure our diverse backgrounds are celebrated.

I’ll always be approachable, open to messages, and ready to bring your thoughts forward. My goal is simple: to make this year not only successful but also supportive and enjoyable for all of us.
