Hi, I’m Sudharshan, a third-year medical student, and I’m thrilled to be running for Sponsorship Officer of Orthopaedics Society.

Orthopaedics has always been a field that excites me, and I want to help make it more accessible to students through increased opportunities, resources, and collaborations. As Sponsorship Officer, I would aim to secure partnerships and funding to enhance the society’s offerings and ensure that students have access to the best events and educational experiences in orthopaedics.

Over the past few years, I’ve gained valuable experience that equips me well for this role. As National Conference Lead in SORA, I am coordinating with multiple event partners, preparing me for a position where I would have to negotiate partnerships and secure sponsorships. Additionally, in my role as Vice-President (Events) of FoMSF, I honed my organisational skills, collaborating with a variety of stakeholders to create successful events. I am confident of crafting appealing sponsorship packages and maintaining positive relationships with external partners.

If elected as Sponsorship Officer, my focus will be to:

• Secure new sponsorships by approaching companies and organizations in orthopaedics and related fields to fund events, conferences, and workshops
• Maintain relationships with existing sponsors, ensuring they see value in their partnerships with the society
• Expand the society’s network, reaching out to potential sponsors from diverse industries that can contribute to enhancing orthopaedic education and opportunities
