Chemical Engineering: Pipeline Editor

Hello, I'm Alisha and I'm running to be your next Pipeline Editor!

In my first year, I was part of this team as a graphic designer. In my time, I gained more experience working with Canva and I tremendously improved my organisation skills by working around deadlines.

Unfortunately, I was not part of the team in my second year as I moved on to become the Publicity Officer of the Malaysian Society and Prototyping Society. From these roles, I gained experience in managing social media accounts on platforms such as Instagram and Linktree. My work consisted of creating promotional content (posters, reels, etc.) for events and workshops. I also created and managed a publicity team to promote Imperial's Malaysian Night performance to a large audience through posters, photoshoots and reels following popular trends.

With these experiences, I intend to steer Pipeline in a brand new direction. In this new era of social media, short-form content is exploited to promote brands and products. I believe it has the potential to steer a large audience to the magazine. My aim is to diversify the scope of Pipeline - starting a new branch focused on creating content for Instagram. My plan includes videos following popular trends to promote the magazine, or short interviews with writers and other members of the department to pique the interest of potential readers.

Thank you for reading my manifesto, please consider me as your next Pipeline Editor!
