Cheng Xin Cheong

Hi, I’m Cheng Xin Cheong, a chemistry student with a strong passion for business. I really like how this society creates a fantastic space for women to explore business, connect and empower each other. Inspired by this mission, I am eager to run for the Internal/Alumni Manager position in ICWB to make our society bigger, better, and more impactful.

My Vision & Plans:

1) Expand and Strengthen Our Alumni Network

• Proactively connect with alumni to maintain lasting relationships and create opportunities for members to engage with successful women in business.
• Organise alumni networking events, mentorship programs, and panel discussions to provide valuable insights.

2) Enhance Our Alumni Database

• Keep an updated and organised database of Imperial Alumni, making it easier to connect members with valuable mentors and networking opportunities.

3) Organise More Engaging and Inclusive Events

• Recognising that Imperial is a STEM-focused university, I want to organise introductory finance and business workshops to encourage more students to explore business and provide members with practical knowledge and industry insights.
• Invite alumni and professionals who have transitioned from STEM to business/finance to share their journeys and inspire more members to get involved.

4) Foster Strong Teamwork, Collaboration and Relationships

• Collaborate closely with fellow committee members to ensure all events operate smoothly
• Maintain close relationships with every member to create a friendly atmosphere
