Carmen Jaeger
Hi! I’m Carmen, a second-year Maths student aspiring to be your Internal/Alumni Manager for the coming academic year.
Having benefited from the WIB Mentorship Scheme in just my first month as a fresher at Imperial, I’m incredibly grateful for the support I received and now wish to give back to this amazing society.
Having navigated the application process for both spring weeks and summer internships, I know firsthand how invaluable mentorship can be. The guidance I received from older students and alumni was instrumental in helping me secure multiple summer internship offers from bulge bracket banks in Sales & Trading, ultimately leading me to accept an offer from Goldman Sachs for this summer.
I believe that leveraging our internal and alumni network is crucial to ensuring WIB members succeed in securing internships and graduate roles. The industry insights and career advice alumni can offer, alongside the recruitment tips from older students, are beneficial in helping WIB members approach competitive applications with confidence.
By streamlining communication channels with current students, strengthening alumni engagement, and creating structured mentorship opportunities for various industries in the business world, I hope to make career guidance and application support easily accessible to every WIB member, empowering them to achieve their career goals.
If elected, I would love the opportunity to give back and help others benefit from the same mentorship that shaped my professional journey at Imperial!
