Hi everyone, my name is Asaavari (Asa to the year 1s and 2s), and I am standing to be your next secretary!

Exactly a year ago, I was sat on my bed trying to imagine what my life at imperial would be like and the first thing that I found, which spoke to me, was Teddy Bear Hospital. The idea of filling my otherwise fairly empty Wednesday afternoons with smiling faces and teddy bears was perfect.
And I couldn’t have been more right.

From the first, all the way to the last session this year, I feel like I got to learn something new from the little people I talked to.

I also got the opportunity to be on the subcommittee, working on the booklet team, and gaining experience about how to create the sort of activities that keep year 1s and 2s excited and engaged.

So, as the mum of the friend group and the founder of an organisation that teaches young girls and boys about sex ed and hygiene, I have experience in planning and organising, as well as making sure that everyone involved is able to make the very best of their experience at TBH, just like I have and will continue to do so.
