Nina Khadra
Pre-hospital emergency medicine is high-intensity, high-pressure, and high-stakes—so looking after our own is just as important as looking after patients. As Welfare Officer, I want to make sure everyone feels supported, included, and valued, whether that’s through wellbeing initiatives, peer support, or just being someone you can talk to.
Why Me?
🫂 Experience in Welfare & Support – I was a Welfare Officer in Sixth Form and a Freshers Buddy in second year, helping new students settle in and supporting them through the chaos of med school. I know how important it is to create a welcoming, open environment where people feel comfortable reaching out for support.
🚑 Passionate About Pre-Hospital Medicine & Team Wellbeing – PHEM is a challenging field, and we all know the emotional toll it can take. I want to help promote a culture where looking after yourself and each other is the norm, whether that’s through mental health awareness, welfare drop-ins, or informal peer support sessions.
🎟️ Events & Socials for Community & Wellbeing – A strong team is a happy team. I’ll help organize regular socials, welfare check-ins, and de-stress events to bring people together outside of placements and training sessions.
What I’ll Do as Welfare Officer:
✅ Provide a supportive, approachable space for anyone needing help.
✅ Organize wellbeing events to promote balance and mental health.
✅ Strengthen the sense of community in PHEM, so we always have each other’s backs.
