Hi everyone!

I’m Penny, a first-year chemistry student, and I’m excited to run for Vice President of ChemSoc! Chemistry is challenging, but ChemSoc has been a fantastic way to connect, learn, and have fun. I want to ensure every student feels the same sense of belonging and excitement.

As the current President of Beit Hall Committee, I’ve gained hands-on experience organising events, running meetings, and managing teams. From all my role experiences, I’ve learned how to keep things running smoothly while making sure everyone has a great time. These skills will help me excel as your VP, where I’ll oversee events, social media, and newsletters, and work closely with the committee to make ChemSoc the best it can be.

My goals are as follows:

• I’ll foster collaboration with department and industry partners to bring you exciting opportunities.
• I’ll keep you updated through engaging newsletters and social media, so you never miss out on what’s happening.
• From academic talks to socials like the Christmas Dinner, I’ll ensure there’s something for everyone, no matter your year or interests.

I’m approachable, organised, and passionate about making ChemSoc a welcoming and vibrant community. Whether it’s sharing ideas, solving problems, or just chatting over coffee, my door (or inbox) is always open.
