Surgical: Trauma Conference Chair

Hi everyone, my name is Prav and I’m running to be your next Trauma Chair. With the 20th anniversary coming up, I am excited to take this opportunity not only to build upon the excellent work of previous years but look to revamp and provide a new angle to this year’s conference.

Having served as Personnel Officer in last year's Trauma Subcommittee, as well as providing on-the-day logistical support for both OSD and PSD this year, I am well-versed in dealing with the challenges of running large-scale surgical conferences. Additionally, my experience as current Academic Representative for the Management iBSc cohort and Vice-captain of the ICUCC 1st XI, has strengthened my leadership and organisational skills, putting me in good stead to oversee a large committee and deliver a great conference this year!

My key areas of focus for Trauma 2025 are:

Expanding hands-on and immersive workshops
- Introduce a live trauma simulation workshop and varied selection of wet workshops ensuring a more engaging and valuable experience for attendees
Establishing more creative and regular content release
- A structured and engaging marketing campaign featuring trailer videos, educational tidbits, BTS content and Trauma TV will boost ticket sales and the overall impression of the conference for future years
Integrating technology to improve attendee experience
- Through the creation of a new dedicated conference website with FAQs, digital registration and real-time feedback,
