Hello everyone!
I am Huaihou (Apollo) Yang, the current Council Representative at ICU and Spanner Bearer at CGCU. It was a great honour to run for the President of Bio Engineering Society. With your help, I hope to build an inclusive, engaging and empowering society.
Here’s what I aim to achieve in terms of social, academia and industry to make BioEng Society an integral and unforgettable part of your college life.
- I promise you an AMAZING Christmas Dinner in the winter of 2025. I will also oversee and coordinate Student Staff Socials, the End-of-exam Bash, and other social events throughout the year.
- I will collaborate with the department and individual researchers to make the UROPs more accessible and its procedures transparent.
- I will deliver Hackathon and tech-related events in collaboration with other societies to spotlight your skills and make your CV shine! We have an upcoming “Health Hack” with DoCSoc, “Sustainablility Makeathon” with CGCU, “Neurotech Hackathon” with ICL Neurotechnology and more challenges await!
- I will establish a BioEng Talent Network on LinkedIn, where industry and career-related information can be easily circulated. This will be a professional name card for both our society and YOU.
- All in all, I will ensure you an enriching experience at BioEng, no matter if you are a first-year student looking for Spring Weeks, a second/third-year student looking for internships and UROPs, or a fourth-year/PhD student planning for your careers ahead.
