Hi everyone,
I’m Marya, and I'm excited to apply for the position of Social Media/Publicity Officer for iPRAS!
My journey with iPRAS began when I attended the Microsurgery and RTS conferences, which sparked my passion for plastic surgery and the collaborative spirit of the society's community.
As a detail-oriented individual, I understand the importance of maintaining/managing surgical equipment effectively. My experience in working in team work and the creative space has pinned my skills in professionalism and organisation.
My roles reflect my dedication and professionalism:
- Personnel Officer for the Trauma 2024 Conference
- Events Officer for the Transplant & Vascular Society
- Treasurer and Social Media Manager for FoP
- Small Group Leader and Panel Member for FLPSUS in collaboration with Duke University
- Helping out at the FRCS Plastics Exam.
These roles have strengthened my organisational, leadership, and communication skills, which I believe will be assets to iPRAS.
I am eager to bring fresh ideas to the society, including a monthly 'Surgical Skills Challenge' series on social media. Each month, we could post a specific surgical technique or scenario, encouraging members to share their practice videos or tips. We could also host live Q&A sessions with experienced surgeons to discuss techniques and answer questions, fostering engagement and building connections.
I look forward to working alongside like-minded individuals to elevate our society's presence!
Marya 😊
