Riyad Zaini
Dear Members of the Imperial College London Orthopaedics Society,
I am thrilled to be running for the position of Secretary in our society, and I’m eager to bring my organizational skills and passion for orthopaedics to this role. If elected, I will focus on strengthening communication and ensuring that every member feels informed and engaged. I plan to introduce regular email newsletters and utilize social media more effectively to keep everyone updated on upcoming events, workshops, and new opportunities. My goal is to create a society where communication is clear, consistent, and everyone feels connected.
In addition to improving communication, I aim to organize a variety of events that will enrich our understanding of orthopaedics. From hands-on surgical workshops to insightful talks by leading orthopaedic surgeons, I want to make sure our members have access to the best opportunities for both academic and career development. Collaboration will also be a priority, as I plan to work closely with other societies within Imperial and beyond, to offer more interdisciplinary events and joint initiatives. Finally, I will focus on improving access to our resources by creating an online platform where members can revisit event recordings, access research materials, and stay up to date. With your support, I’m confident we can make this an outstanding year for the society, filled with learning, networking, and growth.
