Catherine James
Hi, I’m Catherine, a first-year medical student with a deep passion for global public health. My interest began in sixth form, where I completed an EPQ on the potential for digital biomedical technology to overcome global health inequities and achieve universal health optimisation. I subsequently became a global health competition finalist. Since then, I have had the privilege of working with UNICEF, public health bodies and healthcare organisations, providing me with the skills to engage in health advocacy. I am keen to bring my passion to the Students for Global Health Society at Imperial.
As Early Years and Outreach Officer, I will engage early-year students and external organisations, encouraging active participation in global health issues. I will strive to create projects that leave a lasting impact on healthcare worldwide, while advocating for education and action in the fight for health equity. Together, we can position Imperial at the forefront of global health advocacy and innovation.
