My aim for this election as your non-faculty representative is to build on works previously started last year as PGR chair.
I aim to continue to work with the current PGR chair to improve support offered by the new formed Early Career Research institute to provide support for the transition between masters, phd and post doc roles as well as highlighting next career steps and opportunities that are available.
I particularly want to focus on ensuring there are support and graduate course offerings for those working or studying in smaller centres to ensure relevant Doctoral school partnership courses count as credits on your program.
Alongside this I aim to continue to be a voice for PG students and specifically draw on my experience of seeking better communication for those at other campuses or sites as well as those within smaller centres.
