Dorsa Daleri
Hello!
I’m Dorsa, and I would love to be your next Treasurer. ENT has always been a passion of mine, as I believe it encompasses a wide range of intriguing conditions and offers unique opportunities for medical practice. I've noticed that ENT tends to be one of the less appreciated specialties, particularly due to limited teaching during BRS. However, I see this as an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our society. As Treasurer, I am committed to ensuring that we have the resources necessary to plan events and tutorials aimed at increasing engagement in this field.
As an active member of the RAG committee this year, I’ve gained valuable experience that directly aligns with the responsibilities of this role. Launching “Own It,” a public health initiative in collaboration with St Mary’s Hospital, has developed my organisational and leadership skills by coordinating meetings, developing session plans, recruiting volunteers, and overseeing educational sessions for over 150 students. Being involved in planning the cultural ball has helped me better understand how to budget for a large-scale events.
As treasurer, I will efficiently manage a comprehensive budget for ENT events and activities, prioritising funding for key events, educational sessions, and initiatives aligned with the societies goals. I will collaborate with the committee to develop long-term financial plans that support the growth and sustainability of ENT initiatives, incorporating input and feedback to ensure our financial management reflects members' interests and priorities.
Thank you for reading my manifesto! ❤️💙💛
