Rachael Abergel
I have experienced and learned so much in the past year solely due to RAG and its members. I've met so many amazing people and had the chance to get involved in some really meaningful projects. But now I want to take it a step further by being Vice President.
For those who don't know me too well yet, my name is Rachael, and I joined RAG this year. Throughout my time in RAG, I've helped at the academic conference, choreographed for fashion show and have co-founded the Health Literacy Project.
I could say I'm organised, and that I'm good at communication, etc., which I am don't get me wrong. I've proved myself more than capable to stand my ground as a leader and organiser with choreographing for fashion show and co-running a whole new project throughout London at the exact same time.
But what will make me an incredible vice-president, not just a good one- is my compassion, dedication, and patience. These skills are critical to being an amazing vice-president because they are meant to be a bridge between chair and members, and I hope to be this for everyone in RAG.
Looking ahead, I aim to capitalize on RAG's current momentum by expanding its reach at Imperial and enhancing its impact on our community. This includes initiating a mentorship program for local schools, organizing additional workshops like sign language, and sewing, and creating new collaborations with charities such as City Harvest and Great Ormond Street Hospital Weekend Club.
