Dance (ICSM): Academic Officer

Hiya I’m Amber, a 4^th year medic, and in one short paragraph I am going to tell you why I would love to be ICSM Dance’s academic officer.

Having struggled in early years of medical school, I’ve truly experienced the benefits of the academic side of Dance society. I credit the advice and tutoring from older years, and the extra mocks and tutorials from Dance and the arts societies, with pulling my academic career from the ashes by the time OSCEs came around. From my experience on dance committee for the past 2 years, I understand how much work our academic officers put in and what the role entails. As outreach officer and social sec, I have developed the strong organisational skills, ability to collaborate effectively with the other arts academic officers, and persistence to send endless messages into group chats, that are required for the role. Most importantly I want to give back to a society that genuinely has helped give so much guidance and support with the challenges of what each year brings.
